The Ministry of Energy of Russia, the Association of Lawyers of Russia, V.A. Musin Research Center for the Development of Energy Law and Modern Legal Science Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization,
and the Department of Energy Law of Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL)
announce the traditional all-Russian competition among lawyers (up to 35 years of age) working in legal departments of companies of the fuel and energy complex, government agencies, consulting companies specializing in energy law, postgraduate students and degree seeking students in energy law
Young Lawyer in the Energy Sector.
The participants of the competition are invited to present proposals for changes in energy law: the Youth Model of Energy Law.
The priority topics for the competitors’ presentations include:
Legal regulation of hydrogen energy;
Legal regulation of the trading in carbon units;
Legal regulation of the safety of construction and operation of fuel and energy complex facilities;
Legal regulation of the use of renewable energy sources;
Legal regulation of the export of energy resources;
Legal regulation of access to foreign energy markets;
Legal regulation of corporate governance in the energy sector;
Legal regulation in individual sectors of the energy industry.
The PDF presentations should be submitted on or before October 1, 2021, 05:00 p.m., to e-mail addresses:

Presentation Requirements:
5 slides
The first slide should include the author’s photo, full name, place of employment, and position. Length of experience (specialization) in the energy sector. The second slide should substantiate the relevance of the legal issue under consideration. The third slide should contain information on the identified problems, gaps, contradictions of the current legal regulation. The fourth and fifth slides should contain proposals for the development of the legal regulation.
