
On January 28, 2025, Viktoria V. Romanova, Director of the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization V.A. Musin Research Center for the Development of Energy Law and Modern Legal Science, participated in an extended meeting of the Section for Legislative Support of the Electric Power Industry and Combined Heat and Power Generation (Cogeneration) of the Expert Council under the State Duma Committee on Energy focusing on the topic ‘On the Possibility Of Reimbursing Economically Justified Costs Incurred by Grid Operators for Technical Connection Activities Exceeding Standardized Tariff Rates’, alongside section members, representatives of government agencies, energy companies, public organizations, and the scientific community. The Sections’ head, Natalya Nazarova, Deputy Chair of the State Duma Committee on Energy, emphasized the importance of involving graduate students of the V.A. Musin Center in the discussion of legal regulation development in the energy sector for a comprehensive analysis of incoming proposals for improving energy legislation, leveraging the practical experience of students in the specialized research center. The collaboration between the state, science, business is particularly critical amid rapid technological advancements in the energy sector and large-scale strategic objectives.
