On May 21-22, 2026, a case study session titled Admission to Higher Education Programs in 2026 was held for higher education institutions of the Russian Federation engaged in research and educational activities. The event was organized by Center for Education Development and International Activities (Interobrazovanie) Federal State Budgetary Institution.
Maria A. Kolenkova, Head of Academic and Methodological Support for Research and Educational Activities at the V.A. Musin Center, participated in the case study session.
The event focused on practical aspects of the admission campaign, new initiatives and emerging trends, as well as current practices for admitting students to scientific and educational organizations at various levels of higher education.
The speakers of the case study session were experts of Interobrazovanie Federal State Budgetary Institution, including Alla L. Kolomenskaya, expert in legislative and regulatory matters; Anna A. Morozova, expert at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, expert in monitoring and evaluating target numbers of admissions and admission campaigns; Ekaterina P. Sedova, Head of the Project Office at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation responsible for the digital transformation of higher education, expert in digital admissions; Ilya V. Moiseev, developer at Work in Russia Unified Digital Platform; Ekaterina V. Vershinina, expert in admissions of foreign citizens; Alexander V. Gusev, expert in monitoring and evaluation target numbers of admissions and admission campaigns.
Particular attention was paid to practical aspects of operating the SuperService in 2026; organizing targeted admissions, including through the Work in Russia platform; conducting the admission campaign for various categories of applicants; taking individual achievements into account; conducting additional admissions; working with foreign applicants; preparing applications for participation in the competition for places; and applying legal and regulatory requirements when developing local regulations.
